Tomorrow

We are so excited. We are ready to revitalize our school yard together tomorrow. Many volunteers have come out this week to get the playground skeleton ready. The gardens are looking great. The gardeners have put in so many hours this week getting prepared.

Tomorrow we build a playground, tomorrow we build for our school, and, tomorrow we build for our community. Tomorrow we teach our kids that everyone's contribution is treasured and that together, we can build our community's future.

Volunteers

If you would like to come and help out in advance of Saturday's build, we are still in need of volunteers for Wenesday through Friday (especially for Wednesday morning June 10). The work will consist of assisting the welders and Belair equipment installers. Please contact Monique at tmonique@cabletv.on.ca are able to come. Work will start at 8 a.m. on Wednesday.

Progress to Date!

The yard has started to transform! In advance of our build day, the track has been excavated and the base layer of gravel has been placed. The kids are already running around and around to earn house points from Ms. Cowley!

The area for the playground structure and the monkey bars has also been excavated. Gravel has been placed in the playground structure area as well. Thank you to Bruinsma's for donating all of the excavation work.

The cement pad has been poured for the gazebo. It is so very exciting to see. Thanks to Kevin Chebott for his expertise and work in perfecting this corner of our yard.

The shed has been primed. Dean and Becky Ingham have spent countless hours ensuring that the shed is ready for the volunteers on Saturday the 13th. And we must also thatnk their kids who have been dragged to the school yard to entertain themselves while Mom and Dad have worked.
